Role track

Become a design verification engineer

DV engineers prove a design works before it becomes silicon. They build testbenches, write constrained-random stimulus and assertions, and measure coverage until the bugs run out. This track goes from digital logic to UVM.

What a design verification engineer does

  • Builds SystemVerilog and UVM testbenches
  • Writes constrained-random tests and assertions
  • Measures and closes functional coverage
  • Debugs failures down to the RTL

A project for your resume

Build a UVM testbench for a small APB or AXI-Lite peripheral: constrained-random sequences, a scoreboard, functional coverage and SVA assertions.
